I struggled for a while to find a good source of information about the journey, this is the best I have found: www.csj.org.uk

I have also found a good list of all the hostels (Albergues) along the way here which I will hopefully be adding to the map above with a list of the one ones I plan to stay at, the ones I actually stay at and any of the others I can list on there!

I have also created another page where the posts below appear in order from the beginning (a very good place to start)

Camino Packing on Day 0

Day 0 – packing before the departure, top tip, DO NOT do your first pack on the day before you leave, ideally do it at least 7 days before you go!!

20 days until the Camino

20 days to go until the Camino Adventure starts and the equipment gathering is going well, I want to do another proper post about this later, but as its exactly 20 days today (and I have changed the start date from the 22nd to the 25th) I wanted to do a really quick post to celebrate that date, I will probably do a full kit list video (like this one from Alison Stauver) before I go and another when I get back. Thanks should also go to Lindsay Cowie (from Vancouver) for her excellent YouTube videos about the walk.

Below is a photo of some of the stuff I have put together so far and a little bit about some of them:

Camino Introduction

On 22nd April 2016 I am finally going to head off to walk the Camino Trail which is a 753km walk from the south of France at a little place called Saint-Jean Pied-de-Port (just a little to the east of Biarritz), which literally translated means “Saint John at the foot of the mountain pass” and ends at the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. I have been told that its well worth adding another 4 days and walking another 100km right to the coast at Fisterra.
